Did anyone else wake up with a bird attached to them this morning?

[Stephen pans the camera over to the side, where the screen if filled with brown feathers. He tilts it up slightly, revealing Stephen's bird for the day is...

A Giant Moa

It is looking around the kitchen with interest, every few minutes snacking on a bowl of nuts Stephen has placed in front of it. It is also wearing several hairnets, one on it's head and a few stretched hap-haphazardly across it's back.]

Although as curses go... this one is kind of awesome.

[Stephen scratches his Moa on his back, who coos appreciatively. He then goes back to meal prep.]

Naw, he just ducked down to fit through the doorway. And we have high ceilings in here.

[Stephen looks up at his Moa proudly. It makes a strange gurgled cawing noise and attempt to eat a green bean.]

[Stephen feeds his moa a greenbean and it gurgles happily.]

And they're totally vegetarian.

Back home, they usually went with dinosaurs and wooly mammoths to fill their 'extinct animal curriculum' quota.

Lucky for it, you know what to feed it.

It's a moa. You know, giant extinct bird. New Zealand. I named him Milo.

[Milo hears his name and caws appreciatively. Or possibly because Stephen just fed him another sprout.]
